First post on the revamped website…feels pretty cool!
We’ve been working on the StreamCast, the revamp and a bunch of other things, so finally being able to sit down and write a quick update for you guys (even if it’s short), is a great feeling.
Twitch released their Top Twitch Games for January 2015 the other day and there was something that really caught my eye. Heroes of the Storm JUST missed the list, coming in a 21.
There are some games that you know are going to succeed in the streaming world, and then it depends on whether or not you take advantage of this. Heroes of the Storm obviously relied on having the Beta to get into and stream, but if you are one of the gamers who are good, and enjoy it….it’s a game that will continue to take off.
If you can get into a game prior to the BOOM of thousands of streamers, and you’re able to build your following while there is a smaller amount of competition, you can guess that your odds are going to be much better at growing your stream. While it may have been even better to have started a long time ago (the beginning of the Beta Period), it’s still a prime opportunity staring people right in the face.
One thing I’m not saying is that you will automatically gain followers if you stream HOTS and suddenly be an amazing pro streamer in a few months. What I am saying is, if you’re good, entertaining, and enjoy HOTS, it’s time to take a chance and get in before it’s too late.
