Hearthstone is literally on fire. It came out of the gates with an explosion and hasn’t looked back. It’s already surpassed 20 million players, and is also having an amazing entry into the eSports scene. With Blizzard desperately trying to make World of Warcraft more viewer friendly, the fact that Hearthstone is SUPER easy to watch made it an awesome alternative for gamers to get their hands on. Don’t get me wrong, Warlords of Dreanor also made some waves in a great way, but Hearthstone is already dishing out cash and I promise you that there’s much more to come.
How much has Hearthstone made gamers in 2014 [Tournaments]?
Okay, so I know the year is not over yet, and I may be jumping the gun slightly, but it’s to good not to. Hearthstone Tournaments have already paid out over a million dollars to gamers in 2014! That’s obviously not even including the amount of money people are making on Twitch. The exact number is $1,007,915.71 thus far, and we still have a few days to go! That makes it 17th on the list of Highest Paying eSports payouts! For a new game like this, I’d say that’s pretty good.
