Take a nice trip back to June this year, YouTube had just announced the idea to offer higher FPS for video uploads. At the time they said they were planning on allowing videos to hit 48 and 60 FPS. Fast forward back to present day, and that feature is now all over YouTube as Gaming Channels are taking advantage of awesome, smooth, 60 FPS video.
The only restriction is that the feature does not currently work with all browsers! Don’t worry, it definitely works in Google Chrome, and is also said to be available in Safari. Viewers just have to bump up their quality to 60 FPS which is marked as “720p60”.
